7 June to 14 September 2025
The Liverpool Biennial 2025 will soon return for another summer of poignant art exhibitions and celebrations across Liverpool. This locally beloved cultural festival invites you to explore a dynamic celebration of contemporary art in one of Britain’s most creative cities. As Britain’s largest festival of contemporary visual art, the Biennial brings together artists, curators, and thinkers from around the world, offering immersive exhibitions, installations, and events across the city.
This year’s theme ‘BEDROCK’ explores our city’s unique geography and the social beliefs that form its foundation. Drawing inspiration from Liverpool’s distinctive sandstone architecture and the physical landscape, ‘BEDROCK’ reflects on the people, places, and values that ground our city’. The festival hopes to explore how both the physical and social landscapes of Liverpool have shaped the art, values, and culture that continue to resonate today.
Whether you’re an art enthusiast or simply curious about the city’s cultural impact, the Liverpool Biennial 2025 promises an unforgettable experience and poignant reflection that will present our historic city through a new lens. Unlike many other art exhibits, the Biennial is not confined to Liverpool’s traditional venues or museums, but will instead feature in a terrific range of buildings across the city, from disused warehouses to prestigious galleries or displays along the waterfront.
Taking place throughout the summer, join the celebrations at the Liverpool Biennial this June.
