Saturday 6th of May

The Coronation of King Charles III

The official festivities are expected to take place from the 6th of May 2023, beginning with an extravagant procession through Pall Mall featuring numerous military regiments from around the Commonwealth as well as the King and Queen Consort.

While the final timings for the day of the Coronation are yet to be announced by Buckingham Palace, the event is expected to follow Royal tradition and take place in the late morning at Westminster Abbey, with crowds awaiting the celebrations for several hours leading up to the big day.

Striking a carefully considered balance between the legacy and tradition of the British Monarchy and modern society, the service led by the Archbishop of Canterbury, will pay tribute to the King’s vision for the UK. Shortly after being crowned, King Charles III will exit Westminster Abbey, accompanied by other members of the Royal Family to greet his well-wishers in a lavish parade. The excitement of the day will reach a fever-pitch as our new ruler greets his nation from Buckingham Palace’s balcony officially for the first time.
