10 Days of Jazz, Blues and Exceptional Music

The 11th to 20th of July 2025

The Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival returns for its 47th year this July, filling the city with ten days of rhythm and blues.  With a packed programme of more than 130 performances across an extensive selection of venues, the festival brings together an eclectic mix of styles, from traditional swing and ragtime to contemporary funk, hip-hop-infused jazz, and modern blues.

This year’s programme features a stellar mix of international artists and Scottish favourites, including a special performance from British legend Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra at Edinburgh’s Festival Theatre. Other highlights include performances by Curtis Stigers and the high-energy brass of Colin Steele’s STRAMASH. Whether you’re looking for a front row seat watching one of the big bands or a fancy late-night jam session in one of our city’s more intimate theatres, browse the festival’s extensive selection of performances.

Whether you’re an avid jazz lover or just looking to try something new, the Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival is an event too good to miss, just moments from our doorstep.
