Stretching between the Castle and Holyrood Palace with St Giles Cathedral at its centre, the Royal Mile is the ancient heart of Edinburgh. Every street close vennel and pend that feed off the Royal Mile are steeped in history and folklore. Away from the entertaining ghost tours, there is much culture to be discovered from The Hub which is home to the Edinburgh International Festival and the Camera Obscura.
