The beloved Southport Air Show returns to the Mersey Coast this summer!  A much-loved tradition of the North West’s calendar, this iconic event promises two full days of adrenaline-pumping aerial displays, nostalgic tributes to aviation history, and a family-friendly atmosphere that draws visitors from across the UK and beyond.

This year’s show will feature a world-class lineup of aircraft, from cutting-edge military jets to vintage warbirds. The RAF Red Arrows, always a crowd favourite, will light up the skies with their dazzling aerobatic routines and colourful smoke trails. Alongside them, the incredible RAF Typhoon Display Team will showcase the sheer speed and agility of modern air power, while the ever-moving Battle of Britain Memorial Flight will provide a touching tribute to aviation’s past, with flypasts from the iconic Spitfire, Hurricane, and Lancaster.

What makes the Southport Air Show particularly special is its unique beachside setting. With aircraft flying over the expansive sands of Southport Beach, spectators are treated to an unobstructed view of the action against the dramatic backdrop of the Irish Sea. This low-tide setting allows for impressive ground-level manoeuvres, making it one of the most visually striking air shows in the UK.

Beyond the aerial performances, the showground along the promenade is set to be bustling with interactive exhibits, food and drink stalls, and plenty of hands-on activities for children and adults alike.
